This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
That's right; I won't be uploading to Deviant Art anymore. There are just too many things wrong with it and I just don't want to have to deal with all of its bullshit. I'm sorry if that offended anyone, but that is my take on it.
However, I won't be leaving the website. I just won't be uploading any of my artwork or photos anymore. I don't want possible copyright to happen to me, considering dA's policy lets it.
I will still be around to check up on my friends and see how they are.
Thank you to all the support, watches, favorites, comments, and feedback I have gotten from all of you guys! I really appreciate!
I will still be uploading to all of my other websites, though the only other website I upload my artwork to is Fur Affinity. The link to it is listed below.
Layout design by =CH1Z ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I would like to thank everyone for all comments, favorites, and watches I have received. I don't have the time to respond to everyone but I am always very grateful for them!
I would also like to mention that I do not have enough time to look and respond to everyone's deviations. I try and look at everyone's stuff, and I will usually try to comment on at least one or two images of each person that I receive.
I also appreciate any and all drawings of any of my characters that I receive, be they trades, commissions, or gifts. Please don't feel shy or embarrassed to make anything for me. I love receiving gifts! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [OTHER SITES]
You're a bit late to the party with the whole Nyow thing, since she blocked me a few hours after I started sending those comments, but I feel a rebuttal is in order and this is as good a place as any:
First of all, "Young kids"? I suppose I shouldn't take offense at that, since obviously you ARE vastly older than me, having obviously developed senile dementia and forgotten when we spoke semi-regularly for a month or two, during which time it was established that you're... maybe slightly over a year older than me? Slightly under? Dementia must be getting at me too, but I know it's not a larger margin than that.
And for that matter, I am perfectly capable of constructive criticism, I just also know when to recognize when it will do no good. I speak fairly regularly with a significant portion of Nyow's circle of friends (you may have noticed Jack and I trolling each other fairly constantly, provided you were able to remember who HE is), several of whom are artists, and several of whom have voiced their frustration with Nyow's complete inability to listen to the sort of advice which would prevent her from creating works like... well, anything she's ever done.
Obviously, it would be pointless to pretend I had an intent here more noble than trolling for the lulz (and much lulz were had by all involved!), but several of these friends DID encourage me to do this specifically because they thought a rough shove might do what gentle pushing couldn't. Judging by her latest uploads, this was obviously incorrect, but on the other hand they found the comment about curly fries hilarious so I guess it wasn't a total loss.
In conclusion, ALL CAPS OBSCENITY LADEN CRITICISM is not always worthless criticism, especially when the target is a 17 year old with the mentality of someone half that age, who would not take criticism of the "constructive" sort as anything more than "Ugly people being mean T_T".
Though that picture of Chase the Faceless cat I put on her myspace? That was just me being a dick.
I think I'll simply respond to one of the two comments you left in response to me, since both would just be similar in content anyway.
Yes I'm aware the comments you posted are near a week old, but that is beside the point. Regardless if you were within her circle of friends, and you were simply "trolling for the lulz" (and I'm sure you had them) and just being egged on by buddies to poke fun at someone who really didn't deserve it (and of course, doesn't like it by responding negatively), it still doesn't give the right to do that to someone. If she were totally fine with it and lol'd right back at you, I would have had no problem.
The thing is, when a friend of mine is bothered/offended/whatever-word-you-want-to-use by something and responds negatively to it (asking said-person to stop, blocking, ignoring, etc) I generally tend to step in and get them off of their back.
If you honestly feel that Nyow's artwork is poor, making fun of her is NOT going to make her do any better. Yes, even with CC, comments can be hurtful but the point is they aren't made to be. Simply telling someone "OH GOD THIS BURNS MY EYES" will just make them more hurt and not want to improve/feel any better to improve. Lots of people just do doodles just because they want to. The artwork in my fA gallery are things done for fun, not to improve my skill. That's what all of my schoolwork and sketchbooks are for. Furry artwork is lolzy, passes time and can help get emotions off of my chest. I know I can do a thousand times better (and I have) but furry artwork to me isn't worth hours of study and hours of work.
And I did leave that comment on Jack's page because he seems to be a close internet-friend of yours (I have no idea if you two are buddies off the web or not) and I would expect (out of anyone) that if one friend is bothering another friend, for the other to step in and have them cut it out. But he didn't, and so I left said-comment on his main page out of my own bitterness. (Oh yes, I can own up to my own actions. But I am seeing you can to.)
Tl;dr: don't troll people that seriously take offense to it or this kind of crap will happen. You will get angered friends stepping in and acting pompous around you. And indeed, I did call you a child to insult you because of how I felt your behavior was. (As for dementia? Who knows, I might be getting it. I often forget a lot of things.)
